we've just created a tiny plugin that prevents unprivileged users (e.g. guests) from accessing profile informations through the tooltip that's being shown when hovering over a username.
This plugin is named Restrict User Profile Preview. It comes without any options and it does, what it's supposed to do, right after installing it.
You can test this extension in our support forum. Simply log out and hover over a username.
